Keane Foundation Kid’s Vacation Day Program April 17
KIDS VACATION GYM DAY’S at the 9/11 Memorial Sports Center (at the Pitkin Community Center) have become an exciting destination for kids during vacation! Younger children enjoy games, music and parachute play. Older kids love the kickball, dodge ball and basketball pick-up games. Other impromptu games are also fun.

Schedule

9:00 am. - 10:00 am. : Parent & Toddler
(2-4 year olds)
Enjoy pop up tents, tunnels to explore, riding and push toys, and try other fun toddler activities with your child.
10:30 am. – Noon: 5 to 7 year olds
Drop your child off for some free play and organized games like Kick Ball, Basketball, Freeze Tag and other fun games!
1:00pm. - 3:00 pm. : 8 to 12 year olds.
Drop your child off for Basketball, Dodge Ball, try Boxing and other games in the gym. Also, the Computer Room will be open for Computer fun.
Keane Foundation After School Spring Program
The Spring after school program starts April first and runs until May 14th. Children in grades 3-6 from all 5 Elementary Schools in Wethersfield can register to come join the fun after school on Mondays and Tuesdays. The program is held in the 9/11 Memorial Sports Center at the William J. Pitkin Community Center, 30 Greenfield Street, from 3:00-5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays for 6 weeks from April 1st through May 14th. (No program on days school is not in session).
Those who enroll in the Keane Foundation 6 week Spring program, can start their homework, have a snack and spend hours of fun in the Gym, Fitness Center and on Computers in the Classroom.
Transportation is provided from public elementary schools to the program!
The supervised program will include: Homework Help, Computer Games and SmartBoard play and instruction, as well as Sports, Fitness Programs and Open Gym. This is an opportunity for kids to try new things, and to just have fun after school! Staff includes teachers and recreation professionals. The fee is $30/Residents, $40/Non-Residents, per program. Registration is required and space is limited, call 860-721-2950 to inquire about availability.
