3rd Annual Keane Foundation Running Club Starts April

The third annual Keane Foundation Running Club will return to all 5 Wethersfield Elementary Schools for children in grades 3-6 starting in April.

The program teaches children how to develop their endurance, set goals and promote self-esteem. Last year children of all running abilities progressed from their current level to completing a 5k (3.1miles).

The Keane Foundation has been blessed with the support of the community in all of our fund raising efforts, and with assistance of the Town of Wethersfield and the State of Connecticut as well. As The Keane Foundation goes into our 15th year of enrichment programs for children in the community, we have chosen to support other programs whose mission is similar to the Keane Foundation's Mission. (The Mission of the Richard M. Keane Foundation is to support, sustain, and develop programs for the community that will offer sports, fitness, educational and recreational programs.)

Community organizations with a program that needs support are encouraged to apply:
Application are accepted March 31 and September 30. Grant designees are notified June 30 and December 31. Community organizations with a program that needs support should download and print:
