Volunteers – Just like you – are Needed for
The October 16-18, Cove-side Carnival,
A Fun-filled, Family Weekend Supporting a Worthy Cause

For three days in October, scenic Cove Park in historic Wethersfield will be transformed into an enchanting spectacle straight from the town’s rich heritage.

An old-fashioned carnival, complete with a Ferris Wheel, exhilarating rides, fun games, traditional kiddy rides, and delicious foods and beverages will be coming to Wethersfield, Connecticut’s “Most Ancient Town” October 16, 17, and 18, 2009 as part of its year-long 375th anniversary celebration.

Sponsored by the Richard M. Keane Foundation, this “Cove-side Carnival” is the latest in a series of important fund raising efforts to support athletic and educational programs and enrichment activities at the 9/11 Memorial Sports Center in the Pitkin Community Center.

Many volunteers are essential for all three days of this celebratory event. You can help make this important event a success.

Volunteers are needed for many aspects of this Cove-side Carnival, including helping with concession set-ups and take-downs; ticket sellers for rides and foods; staffing food and beverage concessions, adult staffing of beer and wine service; trash control, and more. Many “community service hours” opportunities are available to high school students who work as our volunteers.

It is never too early to become a volunteer for the Cove-side Carnival! For more information about volunteering, just call either: Barbara Bellas at (860) 257-3560, or Mia Caulfield at (860) 563-9005.
